So today I will be telling you a bit about the state of my personal projects, what I want to add to them, fix them, and the next projects that I will be working on. As always on can check the hub with all my projects (gabrielmcs.pt).
The Current Projects
I am currently working on two projects, with one project already completed.
The completed project is called “Ciclodias” which is an exercise monitoring application developed using Yii2 and Android Studio. It was originally created for the final presentation of my TESP course, I chose not to make any significant changes to it, other than updating the libraries and ensuring that the Android project is compatible with newer versions of Android.
One of my ongoing projects is “Games” a web platform built with Laravel 11 that provides information about games using the IGDB API. Currently, it features a main page, a details page, and a search function. However, I plan to expand the platform with additional features, including more detailed game information, extra pages for additional game filters, a profile page, and functionality to manage favorite games, as well as follow news and reviews from various sources, including personal reviews.
The other project I am working on is this “Blog“. I am still in the process of planning which categories to include. For instance, I am considering moving the games category to the “Games” project. As a starting point, I aim to have at least one article in each category before moving on to another project. Of course, I will periodically create new articles as new topics arise that interest me.
The Next Projects
I have several projects planned for the near future:
Tools Platform: This project involves creating a web platform using Laravel 11. The platform will provide easy access to multiple tools, and I plan to offer them for free, supported by advertisements.
Project Manager: I have previously worked on this project but paused it for further planning. The goal is to develop a simple alternative to tools like monday.com and asana.com, which I have used before. I aim to offer a more straightforward functionality at a different price point or for a different purpose. I am still determining the best approach for this project.
App Version Controller: This project will also be built with Laravel 11. It will be a web platform that manages applications and their releases to the public.
These projects represent my current focus and aspirations for development in the short term.
