The HyperX Pulsefire Core is a reliable budget gaming mouse that has served me well for years. I purchased mine for just €25, and at that price, it feels quite sturdy. Its ambidextrous design includes two side buttons on the left, making it suitable for various grip styles and hand sizes.
In terms of performance, it offers a decent CPI range with an adjustability of 100, but the click latency is higher than you’d expect from a wired gaming mouse. Additionally, the cable and mouse feet are average in quality.
When it comes to office work, I find it to be a decent mouse. For gaming, it performs well, but it is a bit heavy, and the lack of a wireless option may be a drawback for some users. Personally, I don’t mind it. It has a high polling rate of 1000Hz, while some mice now support up to 8000Hz, though that is not yet a standard.
Another good point of this mouse is the customizability provided by the software and the onboard memory, which allows you to use your custom settings even on devices without the software installed.
This mouse is available only in black and stands as the most affordable option in the Pulsefire lineup.
