2000€ Gaming PC Build – Jan 2025

Here is a build targeting 2000€ with the main focus being 1440p with ultra settings and high refresh rate experiences and also a good 4K experience.

All prices are based on Portugal stores and other shops outside the country.

Parts

An upgraded version of the gigabyte motherboard that is used on the other cheaper builds, with WI-FI and better VRMs that allow for more stable overclocks.

Paired with 8 cores and 16 threads this CPU has excellent single-core and multi-core performance, really good for gaming and productivity where the extra cores may come in handy.

This AIO watercooler is mandatory especially on overclocking scenarios and also because this CPU does not come with an included cooler.

Great card for 1440p with ultra settings and 4K gaming on this card using DLSS is also really good, i could only find 1 card below 900€ depending on the price it can be a good alternative to the AMD GPU.

Great card for 1440p with ultra settings and 4K gaming on this card is also really good due to the 20GB of VRAM, I could only find 2 cards below 850€ depending on the price it can be a good alternative to the NVIDIA GPU.

One of the best kits with blazing fast speeds without blowing your wallet, especially important because AMD CPUs love memory speed and you may gain some performance in specific scenarios.

Very Fast NVME storage with plenty of space for apps and games. As always, be sure to look for sales to get the best deal.

I would say an upgrade compared to the Montech X3 of the cheaper builds, good case with multiple fans pre-installed that help the ventilation of the machine, and looks really good.

Excellent power supply from a good brand and with 80 PLUS Platinum certification, also since it’s a 1000w unit, it still has a lot of headroom for this build to allow for overclocking and extras.

Alternatives and recommendations

There’s actually some stuff on this build that can be mixed based on your preferences.

Starting with the CPU Cooler if you want to do some serious overclocking you might reach the cooler limit and you might want to upgrade it to something better.

On this price range depending on your workload and if you stream or not you might want to upgrade to 64GB, it’s not mandatory but it might be a good change that can improve your multi-tasking capability on this machine.

The power supply is an odd one because most builds that I found only use Gold PSUs but a platinum one at least for me is a good upgrade that will reduce the amount of heat and the efficiency of the machine.
