1600€ Gaming PC Build – Jan 2025

Here is a build targeting 1600€ with the main focus being 1440p with ultra settings and high refresh rate experiences and also 4K capable.

All prices are based on Portugal stores and other shops outside the country.

Good board for the price, since it is a B850 and has good VRMs you will be able to overclock the CPU to maximize the GPU utilization.

Great card for 1440p with ultra settings even 4K gaming is possible with this card using DLSS for example, I could only find 2 cards below 650€ depending on the price it can be a good alternative to the AMD GPU.

I would say an upgrade compared to the Montech X3 of the cheaper builds, good case with multiple fans pre-installed that help the ventilation of the machine, and looks really good.

Good power supply from a reputable brand and with 80 PLUS Gold certification, also since it’s an 850w unit, it still has a lot of headroom for this build to allow for overclocking.

Alternatives and recommendations

To be honest the only thing on this build that you may want to change is the case to one that you prefer, don’t forget to buy one that includes pre-installed fans with the hub adapter.

I would also recommend that you overclock the CPU since we have a good cooler with enough cooling for that.

Benchmarks

In the video below you will find some game benchmarks on a machine running with similar specs on a RX 7900 GRE.

Since the CPU is not the same, on CPU bottleneck scenarios you may expect 15-20% less performance on some titles (with overclocking you may be able to compensate for some of the difference), the GPU is the same so those benchmarks with a GPU bottleneck are close to this build.
