1200€ Gaming PC Build – Jan 2025

Here is a build targeting 1200€ with the main focus being 1440p and 1080p with ultra settings and high refresh rate experiences.

All prices are based on Portugal stores which may have some difference compared to other shops outside of the country.

Good board for the price, since it is a B850 and has good VRMs you will be able to overclock the CPU to maximize the GPU utilization.

Paired with 6 cores and 12 threads this CPU has a really good performance and it fits this build perfectly paired with the selected GPU (Info below).

This is the first build where i think that a AIO watercooler is mandatory specially on overcloking cenarios and also because this CPU dos not come with an included cooler.

Great card for 1440p and 1080p with ultra settings and high refresh rate, it is overpriced here, i could only find one at 440€ and other at almost 500€, i would not pay much more than this, but on the nvidia at this price range there’s no competition since the RTX 4070 here costs over 550€.

Really good kit with very fast speeds, but don’t be limited at this one, this is just a example and you should search if you can find a better kit at the moment specialy with more speed (6400mhz+) because AMD CPUs love memory speed and you will avoid some bottlenecks in specific cenarios. Just don’t make the mistake of overspending on RAM

Very Fast NVME storage with enough space for apps and games, i will recommend for you to get when possible a SATA SSD, at least 1TB for games and cold storage, it can be DRAMLESS so that it can be cheaper since the OS is installed on a much faster drive. As always you should search for sales.

Good case with multiple fans pre-installed that help the ventilation of the machine, also has RGB and looks really good.

Good power supply from a reputable brand and with 80 PLUS Gold certification, also since it’s a 650w unit, it still has some headroom for this build.

Alternatives and recommendations

One thing that you can change is to reduce the AIO watercooler and invest on more storage for example, this cooler is really good but is a bit overkill unless you are overclocking.
